Cosmic Tumbles, Quantum Leaps: When physics and cirque combine

This year’s American Physical March Meeting was held in Las Vegas. To match the spirit of its location, an acrobatic and cirque performance, inspired by the convergence of physics, was held.

Cosmic Tumbles, Quantum Leaps was performed by Le PeTiT CiRqUe, a company of young contortionists, acrobats, aerialists and musicians from Los Angeles. It was co-created by the company’s director Nathalie Yves Gaulthier and physicist-turned-performance artist Julia Roth, and explored concepts from projectile motion and entanglement photons to quantum curiosities such as Schrödinger's cat.
